The Pod is designed for work, rest, or the occasional guest. This compact space feels generous, light, & thoughtfully resolved. Exposed rafters add character overhead, while sliding doors open to a timber deck and pergola - extending living outdoors with effortless ease.

Here shown with rafters and its pergola in a dark charcoal (monument), the PP Mini Homes backyard pod is a well considered garden room. Particulary clever with its materiality across the indoor/outdoor spectrum, the design makes a relatively compact internal space feel generous and liveable. Whether it be used as a WFH office, a gym, or a room for an occasional guest, it is likely to become a favourite retreat for family members seeking a quiet step away from the main house.

Many colour options are available for the steel pergola and rafters; here shown in green. Colours can be selected from the Colorbond colour charts and swatches.
The exterior of the Pod is depicted here in corrugated iron (also available in a wide range of Colorbond colours) - but if you're after a more solid, architectural look, Barestone cladding is an excellent alternative.

The interiors of the Pod offer comfort and understated sophistication. Timber joinery and timber-clad walls create a warm, earthy feel, complimented by natural cork to the floor, back wall and ceiling.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and a glazed door maximise natural light, while the pergola, climbing vines, neighbouring trees and curtains can all help provide shade and privacy as needed.
Joinery and lighting can be tailored to either a contemporary or traditional style; here we show a custom daybed with storage below and an architectural reading lamp.

The proportions of the Pod are best understood in section view; here, the unexpected depth of the outdoor deck becomes clear, enhancing the sense of spaciousness both inside and outside.

The Pod can be neatly configured as a WFH office (shown above), a gym, or an occasional guest room.

A slightly alternative layout allows for ample space for two overnight guests and a built-in robe/desk.
The Pod can be connected to the mains power, or can be self sufficient by adding solar panels on its roof and a battery to the rear.
As with all our Models, customisations are possible.
